About

rygg by leefs

leefs is a consultancy for human-centered research and design to HCRD standards. We work as researchers, designers and Research & Design Engineers, with AI-supported tools. rygg is the graph we build from that work.

HCRD standards

What we mean by HCRD standards

HCRD stands for human-centered research and design. By HCRD standards we mean the international standards that define how products are designed around the people who use them, how requirements are specified and traced, and how quality is assessed. They give research, design and engineering a shared vocabulary, and rygg uses their concepts in its ontology (layer L1).

Human-centred design

ISO 9241-210
Human-centred design for interactive systems: the process from understanding the context of use to evaluating solutions with users.
ISO 9241-11
Usability: definitions and concepts, including context of use, effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction.
ISO 9241-110
Interaction principles for the design of user interfaces.

Requirements

ISO/IEC 25065
User requirements specification: how user requirements derived from the context of use are documented.
ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148
Requirements engineering: processes and properties of good requirements across the life cycle, including traceability.

Quality

ISO/IEC 25010
Product quality model for systems and software, including interaction capability.
ISO 9001
Quality management systems: the framework in which products are planned, verified and improved.
Evidence

Every statement has an origin

Findings come from observation, interviews and tests in the field. The graph records where each statement comes from and when it was last checked.

People

Humans approve

AI shortens analysis and documentation. Assessment and design decisions are made by people, and every AI contribution in the graph is approved by a person.

Accountability

We answer for the graph

Code is quick to write and quick to replace. What we offer is a maintained model and the responsibility for it being correct.
